When you hear a noise....stop riding

Man another blast from the past. Wild West Motor Company. I did a ton o prototyping for this company back in the 90's. Few days ago a guy rolled up on one and it had a nasty top end noise. I talked him outta riding it home. Glad he listened. Tappet is toast, took out the cam and the pushrod.

THE BROWN BAT

The Brown Bat has been sittin in my shop and Brian's shop for about 3 years. I have heard that the perception is that it has something to do with me. Let me make a correction to that method of thinking. It had nothing to do with me. Jobs that pay take priority. Steveo pumped money and time into other bikes and so the Bat Sat. Untill of course all other bikes were destroyed and now the BAT was the easiest to get up and running. SO here are a few pics. New oil Cap new Sissy bar and some wiring front end shit, Top end shit and now it is back. It will get the full make over this winter. New Pipes, Hard Oil lines and a few other goodies.......

We got some new bars rollin out

So we have been makin' the same basic bars for many a year now. And I don't do trends or keep up with them. We have been getting a lot of requests for shorter bars. I have made a few one offs and finally decided to jig up for them. SO now we have 4 new short configurations. I'll have them all on the new web site which is actually comin soon. These will kick ass on your new chopper or bobber project. If you can't wait and want to see some Rick just snapped up 10 or so sets and they are ready for sale at Dirty Rat. Or you can get some from us if your in our neck of the woods. Of course we ship too.

.....Forgot to mention we dropped the price on all our bars. I'm sick to shit of the chinese sell outs but everyone seems to only care about price. SO these are as cheap as an AMERICAN can make them and make enough cash to keep the lights on.

Internal Combustion Heaven

Steven and I ran out for the day to get some Salt in our teeth. Hooked up with Brandon, Jason and Rick. Kickass good time. We will be back out for the weekend of the 28th for the Bub racing events. Killer stuff goin on all month so get out there and check it.

Eat your Heart out Eddie Trotta

2003 super fat tires were comin out faster than you could build a bike. First it was 230 in the late 90's, then 240, then 250, 280, 300, 330.....and now well some of knew it was a bad idea. This one had tons o metal work. No realy my style but I must say very fun to build and it pays the bills. Never got any finished pics but i think you get the Idea.

On any Sunday

Back in the 70's there was a great movie that would come on every so often. It was called On any Sunday. Killer classic that any enthusiast should see. So almost every sunday this is what I do. This time is was with my good friend Darrin from Valley Motor Salvage. He has been in the biz for 35 + years. Rolls a 86' XT 350 and if you aren't paying attention you'll be playin catch up to this guy. Utah has some of the best single tracks on the planet and it's my goal to ride everyone of them. IF you're up to a full day of technical single track ridin with the occasional driftin around gravel corners a 50 + call me on any Sunday.

Once upon a time...

So Mr. Jones got me thinkin about Mr. Stone and some old pics. Many moons ago I had started a little bobber project. I had this frame that I hated and I decide to go after it one day. Few little 'idea pics' and a sawsall and grinder later I had the lower carriage on the table and a quick little jig done. Cut out the high ass seat area dropped it a few inches. Goosenecked the front end. And decided to make the ass end outta one piece of tubing. After fucking up about 10 feet of tube I finally got 6 bends to come together without a cut and without a kink....bitchin. Then I put it on the shelf.

Enter my new winter project. I will be keepin you posted one this one. I got some good ideas...not new one's just good ones. As usual it will be seamless, smooth, fast, and clean.
